Independent Fabrication’s team of riders went to the US CX Nationals with big hopes and came home with 4 medals! IF had a strong race presence this weekend in Providence RI. The team fielded 12 racers over the 3 days and came home with 4 medals. Maureen Bruno-Roy won the Gold medal in the Master Womens 30-34 on Saturday by a huge margin and rode an excellent race to capture the Bronze in the Elite Womens National Championship race on Sunday. Excitment is now mounting in the world of Independent Fabrication as she now prepares for the Cyclocross World Championships – 28-29 January 2006, Zeddam, Netherlands.

Marianne Stover and Pauline Franscone tore from the front of the Master Women 34-39 race on Saturday. They rode together, dropping everyone else. A last second bobble on a treachorous, off-camber, muddy downhill saw Marianne come around Pauline for the long road section to the finish. They took home the Gold and the Silver. Big respect to the IF Women for showing every one else how to ride the course. Further props to Grassroots Racing manager Jon Bruno, manager of the women’s team Brenda Bahnson, Jamie Pair and Colt McElwaine who rode their socks off and did extremely well. Great work by all the other IF racers too, keep flying the IF colours.
