Peter Basinger from Alaska is one of only a hand few of competitors in this years Great Divide Race. He’s taking part on an Independent Fabrication Deluxe 29er. Between 18 June and 4 July, eight riders tackled the race, covering 2465 miles with an elevation gain of more than 200,000 feet.
In a dramatic climax after sixteen days of riding the finishing time between first and second place was less than 30 minutes. More information can be found on mtbr.
