This site has been created in conjunction with Independent Fabrication. IF riders and all owners are welcome to join, add their bikes and share their experiences through comments and forum posts.
Since 1995 Independent Fabrication has produced arguably the most desirable bike frames in the world from their Somerville, MA. factory. They have a reputation for their dream bikes and legendary paintwork. The Owners’ Club is an international register of IF bikes.
Our story
Every great journey begins with a story. Ours is no different. Established in 2004, we embarked on a mission to provide a resource that allowed the art and amazing bikes created by Indy Fab to be showcased. What started as a humble beginning has since grown to a resource of over 2,000 bikes, thanks to the hard work, dedication, and unwavering support of our team and community.
Our approach
The Independent Fabrication Owners’ Club is run separately from the Independent Fabrication business. As such ifrider.com and ifbikes.com are two individual websites that both work to promote the IF brand and all of the great work that originated in either the original Somerville, MA, the recent Newmarket, NH factory or the current Lynn, MA factories.
The Owners’ Club site is run by Cris Bloomfield with the approval of the factory and the staff at Independent Fabrication. The site now has thousands of photos of IFs and many members and bikes. Running and developing the site plus paying for server hosting and bandwidth has annual costs.
