Comments: What can I say, I fell in love with a sunburst faded bike at nationals in Helen, Ga.. Tried very hard to get in touch with IF with no response so i gave up. Was looking for a frame that you didn’t see every day or at races. I was looking at Salsa, Ibis, and BREW. Of course i wanted a very well built frame too. Long story short, a friend got a BREW and it just didn’t do it for me. I got back on the IF trail and they came through for me.
No other will do for my main ride. It’s got a control tec stem, Koski bar, king h-set, xtr: v-brakes,d-rails,shifters,cassette, raceface cranks, Ti-bb, syncros seat post, salsa flipoffs, WTB hubs F&R, WTB rims and a marzocchi fork. All together it’s i bomb proof setup. I got tired of breaking chi-chi parts that look good until you ride ’em.
Purchased the frame on employee purchase deal when I owned a bike shop. Its been my main ride since then, and now has developed “rust blisters” under the paint on the seat tube! I sent it back to IF to see if they could save it but no avail. Its really gonna suck when it finally fails.
